The school ethos, values and guiding principles are maintained and supported
Implements the school vision and shared goals
Professional and instructional leadership is provided
OSG EU curriculum (where applicable) or the local curriculum is delivered across the school
Focuses on enhanced student achievement and engagement for all students
Engages with staff and shares knowledge about modern teaching and learning practices
Keeps up to date with theories and practices of teaching and learning particularly student self-directed learning and the modern learning environment
Vision and innovation in classroom practice and school organisation is encouraged
Barriers to learning are addressed
Student behaviour management plan and policy is followed
Staff Management
In conjunction with the Regional Principal, HR Team and Campus Administration Team recruits and selects staff of the highest quality
Staff are fully introduced/inducted into the school
Identifies staff requiring extra support and provides this
Ensures appraisals are carried out at agreed times for teaching and non-teaching staff
Works with Regional Principal in the Identification of professional development needs in staff
Contributes to and takes part in professional development
Promotes professional learning groups in which staff are encouraged to be reflective practitioners
Ensures OSG EU HR policies and procedures are implemented and followed
Manages conflict should it arise
Works collaborative with the European Support Office and other School Leaders
Communication and relationships at all levels are strengthened
Communication with a wide range of audiences staff, parents, Campus Administration Team is timely, accurate and useful
Positive student relationships are fostered
Relationships between the school and its community are fostered
Reports on student progress are made regularly to parents, Regional Principal, Campus Administration Team etc.
Statutory Reporting requirements are met
Ensures a safe environment is provided
Works within government, OSG EU policies and guidelines
Provides reports are requested by National Support Office, Management group etc.
Ensures all returns are completed within the time frame
Resources and assets are managed
Manages the administration of the school
Financial resources and assets are managed to improve student learning outcomes
Is prudent in use of resources
Works with Trustees in preparation of property and development plans and asset replacement
Ensures buildings etc. are well looked after
Health and Safety
Meet health and safety obligations for the School, ensuring personal safety in differing work environments for all employees and students
Take personal responsibility for managing own safety and that of others
Identify and promptly report any accidents, incidents and hazards in the workplace
Health and Safety policies of the School should be adhered to at all times
Requirements
Education/Qualifications
Good Honours Degree or equivalent in accordance with local legal requirement
Evidence of continuous professional development (including a significant management/leadership component)
